How to care for your artwork

Your artwork was created with care and intention, handcrafted using quality, archival materials designed to stand the test of time. With simple, mindful care, your albums and framed pieces will remain beautiful heirlooms to be treasured for generations.

Below you will find everything you need to know to care for your artwork at home.

Caring for your heirloom album

Albums are made to be enjoyed, shared, and revisited often. How they are handled and stored plays an important role in preserving their beauty.

  • Always store your album closed and laying flat
  • Never store albums upright, as this can weaken the spine over time
  • Turn pages gently using your fingertips rather than fingernails
  • Keep albums away from direct sunlight
  • Avoid extreme temperature or humidity changes
  • Always store albums in climate controlled spaces and avoid attics or basements
  • To clean, gently wipe with a clean, dry, lint free cloth
  • Do not use water or liquid cleaners

Caring for framed artwork

Your framed prints are designed to be displayed on your walls safely and beautifully with a few simple precautions.

  • Keep artwork out of direct sunlight
  • Avoid sudden changes in temperature and humidity
  • Display and store artwork only in climate controlled environments
  • Dust surfaces gently using a lint free cloth

Cleaning acrylic and glass

Acrylic and glass surfaces can scratch easily if cleaned incorrectly. Please avoid all chemical cleaners, including glass sprays, even those labelled organic, environmentally friendly, or non scented.

If cleaning is necessary:

  1. Lightly spray a small amount of ammonia free cleaner onto a lint free cloth — never directly onto the artwork
  2. Apply gentle pressure only
  3. Rinse the cloth with clean water
  4. Dry by softly blotting with a clean, damp cloth

Beehive hangers — important handling notes

Your framed artwork is fitted with Beehive Hangers, chosen for their security, precision, and clean wall presentation.

Because these hangers include small metal pins, frames can scratch if stacked together. Extra care should be taken when moving or removing artwork.

If you plan to take your artwork down or rehang it, please follow the recommended removal and hanging method provided by Beehive to avoid damage.

A legacy worth protecting

Your artwork is more than decoration. It is a tangible reminder of love, connection, and this chapter of your life. With thoughtful care, these pieces will grow in meaning over time and become part of your family’s story.

If you ever have questions about care, placement, or adding to your collection, I am always here to help.

Thank you,

Megan.
