When Should I Book My Newborn Photography Session?

For Newborn Photography, any time after your 12-week scan. I will pencil you in 10 days after your due date, then once your little one has made an appearance, drop me an email, and we can select a date and time. Newborns are ideally photographed 10–14 days old for the curliest, sleepiest shots

How Long Does a Newborn Session Last?

My Newborn Photoshoots last approximately 2–3 hours, allowing plenty of time for you to relax and feed your baby as needed. I never rush newborn sessions. Every Baby Photoshoot is calm, comfortable, and baby-led.

How Do I Book a Newborn Photography Session?

What Happens If My Baby Is Overdue or Born Early?

I only take on a set amount of Newborn Photography Clients per Month to allow room for movement. Please do not worry, as babies are rarely on time! Once your baby has arrived, we can set the exact time and date. Just keep me updated.

Can Siblings or Parents Be Part of the Baby Photoshoot?

Absolutely! Family images are very important. My newborn sessions include both beautifully posed images of the baby and more relaxed lifestyle images of the entire family, including siblings, creating a full collection of family and baby photography memories.

What Do I Need to Bring, and What Should I Wear?

You will receive a detailed guide with information on what to bring for your newborn session. You won’t need to bring anything for your baby. I have plenty of beautiful blankets and simple, elegant baby outfits. When choosing your wardrobe, I recommend staying within a neutral, light colour palette. If you are stuck, please pop me a WhatsApp message and we can discuss ideas for your studio newborn photoshoot.

Does the Session Fee Include Digital Images?

No, digital images are not included in the booking fee.

The session fee secures your date and time, your 2–3 hour newborn photography session, and your ordering and viewing appointment.

Digital files, albums and artwork are purchased after seeing your images at the viewing appointment, so you can choose exactly what you love.

When Is the Best Time to Reserve a Newborn Session?

I recommend booking your newborn photoshoot at least 2–3 months before your due date, ideally after your 20-week scan. However, if you haven’t pre-booked your spot, please contact me. I may have last-minute availability for you.

What If My Baby Is Fussy During the Photoshoot?

We will go at your baby’s pace. If your baby needs time to feed or change, we’ll pause until they’re settled. My sessions are relaxed, baby-led, and stress-free. Settling babies is part of my job! After having three children myself, nothing fazes me. You’ll leave with the most beautiful newborn photographs, capturing your baby exactly as they are.

How Can I Become a Collective Member?

Becoming a Collective Member is simple and completely tailored to your family’s journey. You can choose from two beautiful membership options:

Option One:

Maternity, Newborn, and Milestone or Family, or Cake Smash — two sessions complimentary

Option Two:

Newborn, Milestone, and Cake Smash — one session complimentary

All sessions require a £100 booking fee each, which is deducted from the image collection purchased at your complimentary session. To receive your complimentary session(s), all sessions must be booked at the same time when joining the Collective.
