If you live in Brookmans Park and you’re looking for a newborn, maternity or family photographer in Hertfordshire, I’d love to welcome you to my studio in Hatfield.
One of the first things families ask is what the journey looks like, so I’ve put together a simple guide to getting here, so you can arrive relaxed and ready to enjoy every moment of your session.
Because that is exactly how your time here should feel. Unhurried, considered, and entirely about you and your family.
Where Is My Studio?
My studio is in Hatfield, with easy access from the A1(M) and the A1000. It’s a calm, light-filled space, designed with intention for moments like yours: warm and welcoming, never clinical.
You can read more about the studio.
How Far Is Brookmans Park?
Brookmans Park is just 4.4 miles from Hatfield, usually a 10 to 15 minute drive depending on traffic and where you’re starting from.
Families travel to my studio from across Hertfordshire, and from Brookmans Park it’s one of the easiest journeys of all.
Planning Your Drive
Most routes head north along the A1000 Great North Road towards Hatfield. I’d recommend using my studio postcode in your sat nav rather than heading for Hatfield town centre.
For newborn sessions, allow a little extra time. Babies keep their own schedule, and there’s never any need to rush. My newborn sessions are baby-led, with time built in for feeding, changing and settling.
Parking
There’s parking right outside the door, so you can arrive and walk straight in.
With a changing bag, a car seat and a newborn in your arms, it makes all the difference. Your session begins the moment you arrive, not after a search for a space.
Coming by Train
Brookmans Park also has its own railway station, with direct trains to Hatfield taking around five minutes. Do check the latest timetable before you travel.
From Hatfield station, it’s a short onward journey to my studio. Just let me know before your session if you’re coming by train, and I’ll help you plan the last part of your journey.
Train times can be checked at Trainline or via National Rail.
When You Arrive
From the moment you walk in, the pace slows. Whether you’ve spent the morning settling a newborn or chasing a toddler, this is your time to breathe.
The studio has been designed with families in mind: comfortable seating, a private changing area, a quiet space for feeding and toys to keep older siblings happy. Every wrap, prop and backdrop is provided, and there’s a curated studio wardrobe for mum, so all you need to bring is your family.
As a mum of three, I’ve seen it all, and nothing fazes me. If your baby needs a feed, a change or a cuddle, we simply pause. Your session moves at your baby’s pace, always.
Before your session, we’ll have a personal consultation call to plan every detail together, and I’ll guide you through what to wear and how to prepare. Afterwards, I’ll help you choose your images and design the wall art and albums your family will treasure for years to come.
